How to Renew Your Emirates ID (2025 Complete Guide)
Renew your Emirates ID at icp.gov.ae or the UAEICP app. Your ID is always linked to your residency visa — you can only renew when your visa is renewed. Late renewal (30+ days after expiry) costs AED 20/day fine, maximum AED 1,000.

Step-by-step renewal process
Go to icp.gov.ae
Navigate to Smart Services and login with UAE Pass.
Select "Renew Emirates ID"
Choose the renewal service from the Smart Services menu.

Upload documents
Upload your passport copy and a recent photo with white background.
Pay renewal fee online
Complete payment using your credit or debit card.
Receive your new ID
